Weber Picks Up the TaB, Expands West Coast Presence

Weber Distribution, a leading West Coast logistics and supply chain management provider, has acquired TaB Warehouse & Distribution Company, a large player in food confectionary distribution for more than 35 years. The acquisition reportedly doubles the size of Weber Distribution in terms of employees and revenue.
Through the purchase of TaB, Weber Distribution has added nearly a million square feet of warehousing space to its West Coast distribution network. The acquisition also provides Weber with expanded pool distribution capabilities on the West Coast and a substantial increase in freight volumes with such top name food and confectionary customers as The Hershey Company, Nestle, Godiva Chocolatier, Cadbury Adams, Tootsie Roll Industries, Brach's, Mott's, and General Mills.
"The purchase of TaB Logistics will help solidify Weber Distribution as the top third-party logistics provider in terms of volume and revenue in the Western United States," says Bill Butler, Weber's senior vice president, client solutions and marketing. "This is a very exciting time for Weber and our customers as we increase our already strong presence in the Southern California and Northern California markets and expand our service coverage into the Pacific Northwest and Arizona-both high growth regions."
