ATMI is a provider of technologies for the semiconductor, life science, and flat panel display industries. Through close relationships with its suppliers, ATMI was able to create an alert system that automatically notifies the organization of natural disasters that might affect its suppliers or the suppliers' suppliers.
ATMI's supply chain alert system was featured in APQC's Collaborative Benchmarking study Supplier Category Management: Driving Value Through the Procurement Organization.
