Toyota will offer the service both through embedded and aftermarket applications, drawing on Sprint's machine-to-machine (M2M) technology. T-Matics Mobile works on a cellular signal for companies that rotate forklift fleets between facilities. The technology includes monitoring and analytics capability, to generate reports on individual forklifts as well as entire fleets. It can track forklifts, analyze data and facilitate data-driven decisions, the company said. Toyota Industrial Equipment's line of material-handling equipment and services also includes automated guided vehicles, fleet management and tow tractors.
