IFS Industrial and Financial Systems has released IFS Sales and Marketing, the vendor's application for customer relationship management. The product can be configured to meet the precise needs of end-users, the company said. The user experience features a visual design similar to that of the latest Microsoft Office products. Based on Microsoft .NET technology and a new plug-in architecture, the product allows organizations to use standard tools to add custom visualizations and functionality. Its architecture ensures that all security and business rules apply also to plug-ins. IT staff can build mash-ups and customizations; while end-users benefit from greater flexibility in the presentation of data and embedded reporting tools for key metrics such as the sales pipeline. As part of the IFS Applications suite, IFS Sales & Marketing presents the sales force and other users with a real-time, unified view of front- and back-office data from financials, projects, service and other components in the suite.
