Agistix, Inc., a vendor of software for automating logistics management, has entered into a strategic partnership with Berman, Blake Associates, Inc. (BBA), a provider of freight bill pre-audit and carrier-payment services. The new arrangement adds freight-bill auditing to Agistix's managed-services portfolio. In addition, BBA will offer the Agistix LMA (Logistics Management Automation) software platform to its customer base, and incorporate it into its larger product offering. Agistix Freight Bill Auditing and Payment combines auditing, payment, reporting and invoice consolidation outsourced from BBA with Agistix's on-demand shipment-processing product, Agistix Global LMA Platform. Agistix's services allow all of a customer's freight bills to be audited in real time. Any deviations from tolerances set by the customer are automatically placed in the queue for approval. Once a week, a consolidated invoice is sent to the customer, with detail backup available through the Web-based freight-reporting engine. Agistix receives one payment from the customer, then disburses funds to all carriers with the appropriate backup.
