Oracle Corp. has integrated Oracle Transportation Management 6.1 with version 9.0 of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, the vendor's enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite for mid-sized companies. The integrated platform optimizes shipment planning and load consolidation, while automating manual processes such as freight payment, and supporting collaborative decision-making. Customers can draw on pre-defined integrations to support complex transportation planning for sales orders, purchase orders, freight payment and audit, and the associated master data management needed to synchronize applications. According to Oracle, users can benefit from the expanded capabilities of Transportation Management 6.1, including extensions to sourcing, planning, execution, financial settlement and visibility across all modes. New capabilities in Oracle Fleet Management enhance the planning and optimization engine for solving complex fleet-planning scenarios. The addition of Oracle Global Trade Management supports users' import and export compliance needs.
