JDA Software Group, Inc. has introduced new versions of its software for visual merchandising, assortment planning and transportation management. The company is offering assortment planning and planogram functionality within its Enterprise Planning and Space & Category Management suites. Retailers can optimize their product selection and achieve greater visibility into product placement and display, the vendor said. JDA Assortment Planning allows retailers to create plans based on product hierarchy or attribute, including theme, collection, floor-set plans or promotions. The application lets retailers dynamically group store locations into clusters based on calculated data, such as size and type of store, volume of merchandise sold and customer attributes. Version 7.5 of JDA's Planogram Generator helps companies to create greater quantities of detailed planograms more efficiently. The new version of JDA's Transportation & Logistics Management software also contains additional capabilities for more effective management of global and multimodal movements. JDA Fleet Management provides a single platform to manage a mixed private-fleet and third-party carrier operation.
