Pacific Sunwear of California Inc., a specialty retailer of everyday casual apparel, accessories and footwear, has installed an automated material handling system from Dematic for the company's new distribution center in Olathe, Kansas.
PacSun implemented Dematic's C-L series of motorized roller conveyors, the new Dematic FlexSort SL sorter, and a Dematic Put to Light order fulfillment system for a fully integrated, intuitive and intelligent system, all from a single source. Dematic's totally integrated warehouse control system provides sophisticated order fulfillment, material flow control, comprehensive incident management, maintenance management and advanced performance analysis capabilities. This fully integrated software system is the core of the material handling system. Accessible via Dematic's web based portal from anywhere on the PacSun network, it provides users with a view of all vital system information at one glance.
