A new small-package service marks the reemergence of the Purolator brand in the domestic U.S. market. Purolator USA is the small-package and freight forwarding subsidiary of Canada’s largest integrated distribution services company.

Its new service provides U.S. business customers with four domestic services. In addition, a new option is also being made available for the most urgent shipments to Canada. Next Day AM Express Canada is intended for shipments that simply can’t wait, and covers major market areas with next-day delivery by noon.

The four domestic U.S. services, all guaranteed, include Next Day 12:00 PM, Next Day 3:00 PM, 2nd Day, and Ground (1 to 6 days).

Purolator Courier began U.S. domestic operations in 1947 and the brand was active in the U.S. up until a wave of industry consolidation in the late 1980s. Purolator Courier continued to operate as the industry leader in Canada and, in 1998, bought back the right to use the Purolator name in the U.S., and the company was reincorporated.

In more recent years, as Purolator USA focused on its cross-border services, and on building a strong regional branch network, it became evident that the Purolator brand remains recognized among U.S. businesses.
