Inttra, an electronic-commerce platform for the ocean freight industry, has entered into an alliance with C-Team Systems Inc., a provider of software to facilitate international transportation. With integration of the Inttra platform into C-Team's software, customers can streamline the processing of international trade documents, the vendor claimed. C-Team provides international logistics and document-management software that automates export and import processes for freight forwarders, shippers, exporters and manufacturers. Under the deal, customers of C-Team gain electronic access to Inttra's network of more than 30 carriers, allowing them to increase efficiencies related to ocean freight bookings, shipping instructions and tracking information. More than 300,000 container orders are initiated on the Inttra platform each week, accounting for more than 10 percent of the global ocean-container trade.
