Inchcape Shipping Services Opens Office in Alaska

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), a global provider of maritime services, has opened a new office in Dutch Harbor, AK.

The location gives the company a "much needed" presence in the region, according to Tod Gannett, vice president of U.S. & Canada West Coast & Hawaii. "This will allow us to better serve our current client base as well as explore new business opportunities in the region," he said. Previously, ISS served Alaska through its Seattle office and a local network of sub-agents. It expects to continue using sub-agents in Alaska, with the aim of future expansion as customer demand dictates. The new office is being managed by port manager Greg Pawlak, formerly ISS manager in Long Beach, Calif. The company has recently expanded its network to Chile and Mauritius.
