SAP Issues Engineering Control Center Tool for Computer-Aided Design

SAP SE has made available the SAP Engineering Control Center integration tool for computer-aided design (CAD) systems.

According to the vendor, the new software enables companies to deliver products and services with a shorter time to market. It allows for the integration of CAD software with the SAP Product Lifecycle Management (SAP PLM) application. The integration tool draws on the resources of DSC Software AG, a longtime development partner of SAP. Other CAD integration partners, including CENIT, CIDEON and .riess engineering, provided the new interfaces to authoring tools. SAP said the new platform is part of its effort to simplify and expand its offering for research and development and engineering.
