Confidex has introduced Confidex Carrier, a UHF, radio frequency identification (RFID) label for returnable plastic containers. Confidex specializes in RFID design, manufacturing and engineering. Confidex Carrier is a special label that is designed to adhere to plastic surfaces. Featuring an acrylic adhesive, it is compliant with EPC Class 1 Generation 2 standards. Prior to release, the product was tested in industrial applications with actual use and cleaning conditions to ensure that it met customer requirements, the company said. Millions of plastic transit items, such as totes, crates and trays, are used in applications that require durability under heavy use and harsh environments, Confidex noted. In addition to tracking returnable plastic transit items in the supply chain, Confidex Carrier, with its wide-band antenna design, is suited for a broad range of other applications, the vendor said.
