Transplace has made generally available a hosted business-intelligence reporting system. Using the Web-based portal, Transplace customers can produce standard and custom reports, both on demand and on a scheduled basis. The actions can lead to greater visibility into transportation operations, both in real time and on a historical basis, to identify trends, the vendor claimed. In the past, reports were pushed to customers, with each relying primarily on its own set of reports. Now, customers can pull the information they need, with Transplace combining intellectual capital, drawn from across its customer base, into one master repository of reports. Each user can take advantage of reports created by industry peers. The product contains more than 100 standard transportation-industry reports, as well as the ability to build custom reports, which measure unique key performance indicators (KPIs) by way of a user-friendly interface. Scorecards and a dashboard allow for the comparison of performance against goals, as well as the viewing of real-time KPIs, Transplace said.
