Xplore is a manufacturer of ultra-rugged tablets. Blank-it is a vendor of motion-safety technologies. Their joint offering was designed to eliminate operator distractions during use. It integrates blank-it's distracted-driving application with Xplore tablets, limiting users to pre-selected programs while in motion, such as navigation aids, reversing camera displays or dispatch systems. The new tablet relies on motion-sensing technology which eliminates the dependency on global positioning system (GPS) navigation. Blank-it's motion-detecting software automatically activates when an operator puts a vehicle in motion, by utilizing a USB mounted accelerometer. A secure cover locks the device to the vehicle-mounted tablet.
