Zebra Technologies Corp. has developed label-design software, known as ZebraDesigner, for use with the SAP Business Suite family of applications. ZebraDesigner allows a customer to print barcodes, text and graphics directly from its SAP Business Suite application to Zebra Printers in the Zebra Programming Language (ZPL) format. According to Zebra, the "plug-and-print" feature eliminates the need for middleware or additional programming. Design features enable users to incorporate their printers' real-time clocks, internal serial-number counters, scalable fonts and radio frequency identification (RFID) tag support into label content. An intuitive, Windows-based interface and wizards simplify the process of creating or modifying complex label formats, which can be downloaded to one or many printers with a single click. The variable wizard makes it easy to create barcode, text or graphic fields to receive variable data from the SAP Business Suite, Zebra said.
