According to Lufthansa, it was made possible by simpler background processes, with booking via the cargo airline's online channels only, and a somewhat longer duration. The new basic product will be suited to any shipment where the customer accepts a transit time of three days more on average than the td.Pro standard product, which will still be offered. Customers will benefit from Lufthansa service for especially price-sensitive cargo, the airline said. The new td.Basic online product will complement the td.Pro standard option and td.Flash express offering. It will be available for booking via all of Lufthansa Cargo’s online channels beginning in September of 2016.
