On Nov 18, 2016 PSS Summit , which was organized by GlobalSCM , ended successfully in Shanghai. This 2-day conference invited more than 10 executives who are from the international and well-known business enterprise to share their experience of procurement. At the same time , more than 140 elites were attracted to attend the summit.
With the theme of “the battle isn't about cost, it's about value”, the 2016 PSS Summit conducted in-depth discussions combining the important role of procurement with the key of the success，including Cost Reduction, Shareholder Engagement and so on. The executives expressed their own high perspicacity , and each elite aired their views. The collision of thought between the two brought round after round of applause, which created an unforgetable experience.
"Stakeholder management is a critical component to the succseeful delivery of any project, programme or activity." said Shahid Javed ,the global chief procurement officer of JLL. Facing the competition ,Shahid Javed proposed that a highly collaborative culture and streamlined operating model with world-class tools and systems, state-of-the-art technologies and robust processes is also a necessary method to increase efficiency, enhance simplification, improve compliance and create more value.
As for the problem of relationship, Waqas Sherwani, the VP Purchasing of Autoliv , added that :”Supplier relation management also needs a strategic look，which relies on few suppliers , value creation and regular engagement with openness and trust ."For the plan of strategic relations, mutual KPI tracking , strategic line of communication and checking relationship effectiveness are the effective ways to realize.
