March 22, 2018
SupplyChainBrain

Meeting tomorrow’s challenges means implementing innovative equipment and systems today. MODEX 2018, sponsored by MHI, brings together leading manufacturing, supply chain, material handling, logistics and transportation solution providers and more than 850 exhibits to help you futureproof your operations.

Everybody attending this premier event can connect with their peers and tap into the collective power of the industry’s solution and thought leaders, all gathered in one place. The people you meet and the solutions you experience at MODEX 2018 could impact your business for years to come.

Industry 4.0, the Industrial Internet of Things, digital supply chain — whatever name they go by — these trends and technologies are top of mind for you and anybody active in manufacturing, supply chain management, material handling, logistics and transportation. They’re impacting your business future.

Top Thought Leaders

At MODEX 2018, you can hear from the industry’s sharpest thought leaders on these developments and how they will shape manufacturing and supply chain operations for decades to come. MODEX is an international event with manufacturing and supply chain professionals – many of them presenters at the conference’s sessions and keynotes – attending from more than 110 countries.

MODEX 2018 offers you a preview of what is ahead in the manufacturing and supply chain industries. Whether it’s a new product or technology, a new process, or a regulation that’s going to alter the way business is done, you’ll learn about it at MODEX. With some of the leading minds in the business world offering keynote talks, a summit on women in supply chain, facility tours and more than 100 educational seminars on the show floor, the four-day conference offers you the insight and information you need to tackle the challenges of the future. With so much going on, you can customize your MODEX educational experience to fit the specific needs of your business. Whatever you need to futureproof your business, you’ll have a great chance to find it here.

Among the keynote speakers this year is Juan Perez, chief information and engineering officer for UPS. In his presentation,

Anticipating Tomorrow’s Supply Chain Challenges – Today, he discusses how UPS is responding to, and preparing for, the fast-paced Industry 4.0 environment enabled by the Industrial Internet of Things and smart city technologies. Perez discusses how UPS is taking advantage of these technologies to create exponential advances in their operations.

Andrew McAfee, co-founder and co-director, Initiative on the Digital Economy and Principal Research Scientist, MIT Sloan School of Management, is another keynote speaker you don’t want to miss. In his talk, Harnessing Our Digital Future: How the Digital Revolution is Accelerating Innovation, Driving Productivity and Irreversibly Transforming Employment and the Economy, McAfee discusses how such digital technologies as robotics, machine learning, artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles impact business moving forward. McAfee demonstrates how technology is rewriting the business playbook, and how a great deal of standard business practice is now dangerously out of date. Best practices are changing rapidly in this time of astonishing technological progress. This fast-paced, lively, and content-rich talk explains why this is, and delivers smart guidance for the next generation of business leaders.
