A new mobile app is offering real-time insight into employee activity and efficiency for retailers, warehouse distribution centers and more. 

Barcoding Inc.’s mobile tool, “Get Smart,” captures employee and mobile computer utilization data with real-time analytics to track misplaced and misused devices.

The app’s sign-in process ensures that the right devices are getting to the right employees — while safeguarding company network security.

Improved Productivity

Once a user is logged-in and ready to go with their device, Get Smart captures data throughout its use. Observing information like device abuse — how a user handles the device — the app can identify needs for additional training or workflow adjustment. By logging usage statistics, companies can better analyze and understand work activities to improve scheduling, increase productivity and reduce unnecessary capital expenditures.

Get Smart data also shows asset availability and functionality. Its “find me” function can search device location, and users can report issues for review where managers can check in on operational processes, identify application enhancements and capture user concerns.

The on-demand software, complementary to MDM tools, is hosted in Microsoft’s Azure cloud environment.
