While the value proposition of voice technology for warehouse workers hasn’t changed much over the past decade, the business environment, shopping experience and technology options have evolved quite a bit.
New voice picking system Lydia Voice uses deep neural network technology for unparalleled voice recognition — and is optimized for workers wearing face masks, according to software provider Ehrhardt Partner Group (EPG).
The enterprise voice solution interfaces with a multitude of warehouse management systems and enterprise resource planning solutions, and enables companies to operate a two-vendor voice strategy without having to undertake any additional voice integration efforts. Customers moving from handheld scanning solutions will see a 25% to 35% productivity increase, while customers moving from older first-generation voice solutions to Lydia Voice have experienced an 8% to 15% worker productivity improvement on average with a 30% reduction in total cost of ownership, EPG says.
