OEC Group, a provider of international logistics services, will launch OEC TV on October 1, aimed at offering professionals and enthusiasts a central place to access relevant supply chain industry news and entertainment. It will initially feature three channels: Entertainment, Business, and Learning.

Logistics appears to be emerging into the world of live-action TV, at least online and on-demand. The online TV show, We Supply America, has just launched its third season. Sponsored by design, innovation, and strategy firm UnleashWD, business software and technology provider Infor, and consulting and accounting firm Wipfli, We Supply America works on the premise that “America's modern distributors are a force for good.”

Host Dirk Beveridge explores stories across the nation of distribution operations. “These stories are of progressive distributors whose leaders are focused on growing their people, their businesses, and their impact,” Beveridge says.

OEC TV’s launch may add to the impression that supply chain issues are now permanently in the mainstream.

“By offering more creative programming we hope people will understand just how unique and creative our industry can be,” said Anthony Fullbrook, president of OEC Group’s North American region. “OEC TV will not only provide a central place for anyone interested in understanding all the issues and how they affect their businesses, but also a more fun and interesting way to learn about the logistics industry. 

New content will be added to each channel on the first day of each month.  The programs that will be aired in October 2023 include “I Am Kai” (Entertainment channel). In the first episode, viewers will be introduced to Kai, a logistics superhero who will fight crime and try to help the industry solve the problems that plague it.

Also on offer is “The Logistics Corner” (Business channel), a roundtable debate between four panelists disputing supply chain topics of the day, and “Profile of CODA Logistics and Distribution” (Learning channel), with an in-depth look at CODA, and at how they were able to survive the pandemic to become a rising star in the logistics industry.
