Freightos, the freight booking and payment platform, launched its WebCargo Rate & Quote Ocean capability, allowing freight forwarders to manage rates, quote, and book freight on a single digital platform, with integrations to major ocean carriers.  The days of freight forwarders juggling separate systems for air and ocean pricing, quoting, and booking are over,” the company said in a release November 5.  

Freightos says it already processes more than 1.6 million transactions annually, and several times as many air cargo quotes. The expansion of Freightos’ WebCargo service means it now spans all transport modes, and is already live with several ocean carriers and LCL consolidators. 

The company says that early adopters have reported quote times that were 75% faster than before.
