How GOFO ATLAS and Intelligent Infrastructure Scaled with Shein’s 6x Volume Growth | SupplyChainBrain

How GOFO Helped a 3PL to Avoid Disaster in Last-Mile Delivery

Scia Award Finalists 2026

CSCMP and SupplyChainBrain have announced the winner of the 2026 Supply Chain Innovation Award (SCIA).

When a primary regional carrier serving 3PL ShipMonk ceased operations overnight, delivery tech company GOFO went live in just 10 days and reached full network deployment in 35 days without service disruption.

Founded in Los Angeles in August, 2023, GOFO operates a technology-driven last-mile delivery network for e-commerce platforms and clients. GOFO’s carrier infrastructure covers 47 states and more than 9,200 ZIP codes across the United States, with operations also in Canada, France, the Netherlands and Italy. Conventional carriers respond to surging volume by adding headcount, vehicles and fixed infrastructure. This linear relationship between volume and cost makes peak seasons structurally expensive and structurally fragile. GOFO's innovation breaks that link through the integrated deployment of three components.

GOFO’s intelligence platform ATLAS integrates order management and transportation management systems into a single end-to-end digital infrastructure.

Key capabilities include:

Smart order screening. Automated address verification and risk checks flag and intercept approximately 0.92% of high-risk orders before parcels enter the delivery chain. AI-powered inspection systems are deployed across GOFO's hub operations to identify damaged, mislabeled or exception parcels during inbound processing.

AI-powered dynamic routing. Real-time static-versus-dynamic route comparison selects the optimal delivery path for each parcel, with route decisions recalculated continuously.

D-Scan reverse-scheduling.  All departure windows and transfer cutoffs are derived backward from the committed delivery scan. The delivery commitment is the anchor; the entire network is built around it.

Predictive exception alerts. Real-time departure and arrival deviation monitoring surfaces issues before they reach the consumer, enabling proactive intervention.

Full-chain scan visibility.  Every scan event (pickup, induction, sort, outbound, delivery) builds a real-time chain-of-custody record, giving HQ, hub, station, and delivery service partner visibility appropriate to their scope.

AI-powered proof-of-delivery validation. The GOFO driver app cross-references up to three proof-of-delivery (POD) images against GPS location data and route trajectory in real time, reducing falsified delivery reports and improving last-mile accuracy.

AI-powered customer service. A 24/7 AI assistant resolves inquiries and exceptions in real time; average live-support response is under 20 seconds.

Automated sorting and task allocation. ATLAS coordinates hubs, stations, linehaul lanes and delivery channels to assign each parcel to its optimal sort path in real time. GOFO's automation deployment spans both primary and secondary hubs across the U.S. At high-volume hubs and stations, GOFO has deployed a human-robot collaborative model integrating Geek+ Robotics alongside automated sortation lines. Throughput scales with installed hardware, so volume growth within capacity doesn’t require additional labor.

GOFO has built a standardized operations framework governing every stage of the delivery chain: pickup, inbound processing, sorting, loading, linehaul transfer, last-mile delivery and customer services. Transport capacity is coordinated through a structured linehaul scheduling model: Departure windows are synchronized with hub sortation batch cadences, and a "high-peak protection, low-peak control" workforce model pre-contracts surge capacity ahead of demand, enabling volume absorption without reactive headcount build.

Underpinning this coordination is GOFO's IT data intelligence layer. Multi-level operational dashboards give HQ, hub managers, station supervisors, and DSP operators real-time visibility appropriate to their scope. For shippers and end consumers, GOFO has implemented full-chain parcel tracking: Every scan event from pickup through final delivery is captured and surfaced in real time.

Deploying automated sortation across the full hub network, at engineering specification consistent across every node, provides a scalable, network-wide property that expands with installed capacity rather than headcount.

ATLAS's application programming interface-first design (Representational State Transfer Application Programming [REST], electronic data interchange, webhook) integrates directly into existing shipper stacks, lowering adoption barriers for enterprise clients. GOFO's full-chain IT visibility layer captures every scan event and surfaces parcel trajectory in real time.

ShipMonk is a third-party logistics provider serving high-growth, mid-market and enterprise e-commerce brands. It pairs smart automation with a global fulfillment network so that brands can scale without rebuilding operations every time they grow. It deploys a virtual carrier network (VCN), an intelligent rate-shopping layer that selects the optimal carrier for every parcel based on cost, transit commitment and live performance.

ShipMonk was already exploring a pilot with GOFO for emergency capacity, when the solo carrier it was relying on to deliver orders ceased operations overnight. The company faced disaster. Thousands of staged parcels had to be voided, relabeled and re-routed across a single weekend. ShipMonk needed an immediate, scalable long-term partner, with performance good enough to keep in the network afterward.

GOFO went live in ShipMonk's VCN within 10 days of the shutdown, and fully onboarded across all network nodes in 35 days.

One important innovation was that GOFO implemented direct hub injections at Los Angeles, Newark, Chicago O’Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth and Miami airports, moving parcels into GOFO's own last mile instead of through a chain of transfers — supporting reliable one- to two-day delivery in zones 1 and 2.

Measurable results include deliveries made an average of 18% faster than GOFO’s predecessor, and 95% fewer parcels breaching a five-business-day delivery goal — 90.0% to 99.7% on time.
