Tharo Systems is offering a new GS1 Barcode Wizard as part of its Easylabel 5 Platinum system for complying with labeling regulations of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. The tool makes the creation of GS1 barcodes a simple, four-step process, the vendor said. With the aid of two GS1 wizards, GS1 Datamatrix and GS1 Databar, users can create GS1 symbols composed of multiple application identifiers that conform to GS1 global standards. Easylabel 5 Platinum contains a set of ActiveX controls which can be easily embedded into any environment that supports ActiveX controls. They allow middleware programmers to create programs that can use the internal functions of the software to print labels, view job status and preview the label prior to printing, without opening the Easylabel program. In addition, the new system provides a collection of tools for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, including additional password, user, logging and format options.
