Denso Unveils New Line of Handheld Barcode Terminals

Weighing four and a half ounces, the lightweight devices offer a drop-resistant design backed by a three-year warranty. They include a full suite of preinstalled software, rendering them ready for out-of-the-box data collection, Denso said. A contoured handle and ergonomic keyboard allow for one-hand operation. The devices also include a two-inch color screen with USB communications capabilities, for direct connection to a PC or Infrared Data Association (IrDA) protocol for wireless cloning of devices. Optional device cradles allow communication via Ethernet, USB or RS-232C.
