VersaLex 4.0, the latest version of internet communications software from Cleo Communications, has achieved Drummond certification for global AS2 interoperability. VersaLex underlies Cleo's client-based software, LexiCom, as well as the vendor's managed file-transfer server, VersaLex Trader (VL Trader). The action marks Cleo's 13th consecutive certification for AS2 interoperability. VersaLex completed several months of testing to verify certificate and data exchange, security, compression and receipt capabilities. As with the previous two rounds of testing, Cleo completed all optional test profiles: Multiple Attachment, File Name Preservation, File Name Preservation with MDN Notifications, Certificate Exchange Messaging and AS2 Reliability. AS2 is one of the most widely recognized messaging standards for business-to-business electronic commerce. It allows users to connect, deliver and reply to data securely and reliably. The Drummond certification program provides neutral third-party testing of software for interoperability and compliance.
