VersaLex v3.5, the newest version of internet communications technology from Cleo Communications, has achieved Drummond Certification for Global AS2 interoperability. VersaLex serves as the basis for LexiCom, Cleo's client-based software, as well as for VersaLex Trader (VL Trader), the vendor's managed file-transfer service. The designation gives Cleo its eleventh consecutive certification for AS2 interoperability. According to the vendor, VersaLex passed several rounds of testing to verify certificate and data exchange, security, compression and receipt capabilities. Cleo also completed five optional test profiles, including multiple attachment, file name preservation, file name preservation with message disposition notification (MDN), certificate exchange messaging, and AS2 reliability. AS2 is a widely recognized messaging standard for business-to-business electronic commerce. It allows users to connect, deliver and reply to data securely and reliably. The Drummond certification program provides neutral, third-party testing of systems for interoperability and compliance.
