This supply chain is shooting for the moon.
NASA’s Artemis mission seeks to return humans to the moon for the first time since the Apollo program. But this time, they’ll be sticking around for a while. In collaboration with the private sector, the space agency is creating the capability for extended orbit, as well as stays on the lunar surface. (SpaceX was recently chosen by NASA to build the lunar lander.) On this episode, we talk with Mark Wiese, NASA’s deep space logistics manager, about what it takes to fashion a supply chain that can provide all of the equipment, food and supplies that human crews will need to carry out their mission. And he’ll discuss the agency’s ambitions to extend its reach all the way to Mars. Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
