Schenker of Canada Limited is planning the launch of a new Courier Division in the fourth quarter of this year. It will be headed up by Kathy Kropf, formerly managing director of Canadian World Wide Sales with FedEx Canada. In her new position, she will oversee the completion of Schenker's latest offering, the company said. In partnership with Canada's leading courier companies, Schenker will offer door-to-door transportation and logistics services. Having completed its integration with BAX Global, the provider can now handle skid and package shipments. It offers trans-border, domestic and international services with both heavyweight and courier integrated services. Schenker Canada's coverage spans the country from coast to coast, serving all major harbors, airports and border crossings. Its portfolio of supply-chain services included contract warehousing, distribution, ocean and air freight, land transportation, customs brokerage and consulting.
