A group of engineering students at Kennesaw State University have been named co-winners of the Future of Supply Chain Innovators video competition.
According to a May 18 release, Kennesaw State students Ricard Aguilar, Lucas Nel, Camden Holsapple, Milana Yemilbekova and Michael Luhofet won the national competition on the strength of a video that broke down the entire supply chain process. In the video, they explained upstream sourcing and downstream delivery, while showing how supply chains can be optimized to guard against disruptions.
“I have never been in charge of something like this before, and it opened my mind to more possibilities,” said Nel, who wrote, directed, filmed and produced the video. “Having a supportive and motivated team made the experience even more special.”
This is the second straight year that students from Kennesaw State have won the Future of Supply Chain Innovators contest, with last year's top team submitting a video focused on supply chain innovations and workforce awareness. The competition is designed to help students across the country develop leadership and problem-solving skills, and use knowledge learned in the classroom to solve real-world challenges.
