BlueStar, a distributor of products for point-of-sale, barcoding, data collection, radio frequency identification and wireless mobility, has created the Mobile Advantage Program to support sales of the recently released MC35 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) from Motorola. The new device provides all-in-one communications, including voice technology. Through Mobile Advantage, BlueStar customers will be able to build a complete system, including mobile computer, data and voice plans from AT&T Wireless, and a variety of industry-specific software applications for industries such as field service, sales force automation and public safety. The MC35 combines the capabilities of a mobile phone, computer and camera with barcode reading functionality in a compact device. It offers support for multiple wireless radios, as well as EdgeGPRS networks for data and voice, 802.11b/g WLAN communications within company distribution facilities, GPS functionality for location-based services and Bluetooth version 1.2 for voice over Bluetooth (VoBT), and wireless connections to peripherals.
