Supply Chain & Transportation USA to Co-locate with MODEX 2014

February 2, 2013

MHI and Reed Exhibitions (RX) announce that MODEX and Supply Chain & Transportation USA will co-locate in 2014. Both exhibitions will be held March 17-20 at Atlanta's Georgia World Congress Center. RX is the world's largest exhibition company and currently produces 18 events for the transportation and logistics industry around the globe including SITL Europe in Paris, France and also, Brazil, India and Thailand.

MODEX is sponsored by MHI and is the largest manufacturing and supply chain expo held in North America and South America. Supply Chain & Transportation USA by Reed Exhibitions showcases a complete range of innovative products and services dedicated to transportation, logistics, real estate and the future supply chain. The co-location will include approximately 50,000 square feet of exhibits as well as educational sessions.

The decision to co-locate MODEX and Supply Chain & Transportation USA was made for several reasons," according to George W. Prest, Chief Executive Officer for MHI. "Co-locating the two events will allow manufacturing and supply chain professionals unparalleled education and networking opportunities as well as exposure to the largest equipment and technology display of any show of its kind in North America. In today's world where agile and innovative supply chains are a necessity, the co-location is a win-win for participants and attendees."

"We are very excited to be working with MHI by co-locating Supply Chain and Transportation USA alongside MODEX," said Laurent Noel, VP of Reed Exhibitions. "The combined event creates the first US event that offers a one-stop shopping experience for supply chain executives. The event will also include free educational content designed to meet the needs of vertical industry segments."

The co-located events will be the largest international expo and conference of its kind held in the U.S and South America in 2014. Over 500 exhibitors are expected to showcase their solutions on the 230,000 net square foot show floor. Tens of thousands of supply chain professionals from over 100 countries around the globe will attend.

"In 2012, MHI launched MODEX as part of our strategic vision to provide supply chain solutions both within and beyond the four walls of an industrial facility, says Prest. "The co-location represents the next step in this process as we expand MODEX by offering attendees supply chain solutions beyond material handling and into logistics and transportation.
