Syspro has made major enhancements to the Syspro CRM (customer relationship management) software application. The changes are designed to ease manufacturers' compliance with U.S. Food & Drug Administration regulations, in addition to promising increased efficiency and security, the vendor said. Improvements include easier recognition of inactive accounts and contacts, and the use of Structured Query Language (SQL) optimization to speed up record searches. Integration with Microsoft MapPoint allows authorized users to display maps of accounts and contacts located in the U.S. and Canada. Users can view account distribution at a glance, with the ability to pinpoint geographical areas where tainted or defective product might have been shipped. They can also use the tool to aid in future marketing and sales strategies, Syspro said. Closer ties between opportunities and service tickets allow for increased traceability and reporting capabilities. The addition of triggers to Syspro Returned Merchandise Authorization tightens integration between CRM and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, leading to better FDA compliance, according to the vendor. The technology permits the automation of internal order forms while still allowing hard copies for FDA audits.
