Pharma Supply Chain: The Cause & The Cure

March 12, 2013

As supply chain management grows to now become a leading factor in the success of an organisation, as does the complexity revolving around the issues such as regulations, compliance and requirements from both legal bodies and consumers. Whilst we all know that supply chain excellence has an impact on the competitive nature of the industry, providing the right solutions with constant changes economically and industry-wise proves most of the battle to proceed.

The pharmaceutical supply chain does not just focus on the monetary value of the chain, but the value that is seen by the person at the end of the chain, the consumer. The misappropriation of priorities in a supply chain can often be the downfall of organisations in both reputation and profit. This outlines just one of the reasons why pharma supply chain excellence needs to be just this - excellence.

With the saturation of supply chain options in the industry, your reputation is only as secure as your last order. Days of reliance on brand name are quickly gone. The susceptibility of the supply chain in regards to an increase of theft and counterfeit goods are impacting both health and bottom line profits. This again draws attention from regulatory bodies and consumers.

With this said, are there still issues in the pharma logistics industry? The answer is yes. Not only does the supply chain receive pressure from top-down and bottom up; the major upheaval in current emerging markets impact on company's thoughts regarding the efficiency in best practice used worldwide. How does one organisation know how to protect profit margins, decrease cost and capitalise on emerging markets?

Unfortunately not one organisation has found the cure to the pharmaceutical logistic industry, and this is why the LogiPharma conference has been seen as  "˜a perfect forum to meet all the European and companies worldwide with the right supply chains, managers, VP's in order to discuss and address these problems "˜. Supported by industry leaders annually, the Advisory Board encompasses the issues that are a current issue within the industry, which prove to be agreed upon by the guests who attend.

With an unrivalled opportunity to network with the biggest clients in the Pharmaceutical industry, LogiPharma's reputation proceeds itself. Tackling issues year-on-year gives the biggest client in the industry a reason to come back and resolve issues that every organisation is facing. Not only providing solutions, but answers to questions that cannot be answered by your own organisation alone.

Whilst there are pressures on the Life Science industry, LogiPharma will provide the understanding of thought-leaders and relevant discussion  topics.
