Randy Strutz, president of Quality Carriers, said the move was in response to a request for service from a major customer. “We responded by leveraging our existing terminal,” he said. Boasso president Scott Giroir said the deal allows it to grow its Charleston terminal while continuing to service traditional ISO tank customers. Quality Carriers draws on a network of independent affiliates and owner-operators for nationwide bulk transportation and related services. Chalmette, La.-based Boasso is a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Distribution Inc., a provider of intermodal ISO tank container and depot services in North America.
