Eastern European Nations are seeking to build up and modernise their military forces in light of several security threats far and near to their borders as well as the demands put on them by NATO membership. They need to become adaptable and flexible, ready to deploy anywhere to defend NATO interests or keep the peace. To do that they require an effective logistics capability able to keep up and support with the combat units.

Defence Logistics Eastern Europe 2016 will bring together the highest ranking commanders of logistics and support commands from across the Eastern European region.

As the nations in the area begin the process of modernizing their logistics forces to meet new operational demands while at the same time going through extensive budget reforms, there is a recognized need to meet and discuss the most relevant issues, as such the Czech MoD is hosting this forum. Topics will be discussed such as training, international cooperation and procurement, all of which will talked about at the highest levels of authority in the world of Defence Logistics.
