Reuters Events Unveils Key Event for a Sector That Touches 96% of All Manufactured Goods

March 10, 2021

Reuters Events today announced details of an event that will be key for a sector that accounts for 25% of US gross domestic product.

Petrochemical Supply Chain & Logistics USA 2021, on June 3 and 4, will see more than 1,500 attendees and 30-plus speakers plotting a survival path for a major pillar of the US economy. The petrochemical supply chain affects 96% of all manufactured goods in America.

Confirmed speakers include Air Liquide’s vice president of technology Xavier Vigor, Akzonobel’s head of logistics Albert Schyman, Dow’s global director of trade and investment policy Lisa Schroeter and BASF’s director of supply chain petrochemicals Bret Bement, among many others.

“As countries around the world look to fire up their economic recoveries, the US petrochemical industry and the timely, reliable and sustainable delivery of the products it produces has never been more vital,” said event project director Lindsay Coulson.

“To help meet this global need, the sixth annual Petrochemical Supply Chain & Logistics USA conference will provide the ultimate platform for leading innovators to discuss how the petrochemical supply chain can supercharge its role as the backbone of industry.”

Registration for the Petrochemical Supply Chain & Logistics USA 2021 digital conference and exhibition is now open to owner operators and solution and service providers. The event’s two-day agenda will focus on four key themes:

  • Imbalances and disruptions caused by COVID-19, covering lessons on how the petrochemical supply chain has adapted to shipment delays, border restrictions, project interruptions, new ways of working and the rapidly changing demands of end users.
  • Sustainability, looking at how the green agenda presents an opportunity to create an entirely new way of doing business, reimagining the supply chain to ensure operations are environmentally sound, circular and focused on the community.
  • Increasing visibility to mitigate and overcome external factors such as congestion and shipment delays in key supply chain hotspots, with best-practice approaches to help revolutionize the way companies can monitor and adjust product shipments day by day.
  • Innovation and accelerating supply chain development based on the latest technologies that are transforming the industry, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, transportation management systems and more.

The 30-plus speakers at Petrochemical Supply Chain & Logistics USA 2021 will deliver more than 30 live and on-demand sessions. The event’s industry-driven agenda includes boardroom-level speakers and discussions, strategic business insights and world-class online networking.

“Petrochemical Supply Chain & Logistics USA 2021 will unite the entire petrochemical, chemical, liquefied natural gas and refining industry, including senior-level attendees from the operator, rail, trucking, ocean carrier and supply chain solution and service provider communities,” said Coulson.

“As we emerge from an unprecedented period in history and assess the impacts of the pandemic, this event guarantees to showcase the cutting-edge insights and perspectives needed to address the fundamental questions and challenges facing the industry today.”

Petrochemical Supply Chain & Logistics USA 2021 will take place on June 3 and 4. For more information, visit reutersevents.com/events/petrochemical-supplychain or write to [email protected].
