Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. has developed a nationwide "White Glove" service for manufacturers and retailers with specialized delivery needs. The service ranges from basic delivery across the threshold to activities such as unpacking, assembly and debris removal. It is composed of more than 1,100 two-person delivery teams, specially equipped to handle delicate packages destined for residential, medical and retail facilities. Features of the new service include real-time tracking and tracing, and flexible delivery windows with confirmed appointments. White Glove service is available to all ZIP codes in the contiguous U.S. at four service levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Old Dominion Freight Line is a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier with four operating groups: OD Domestic, OD Expedited, OD Global and OD Technology.
