Star Track Express, an Australian third-party logistics provider, has selected warehouse-management software from HighJump Software to manage its operations across the country. The company chose HighJump's Supply Chain Advantage Suite, which will be integrated with multiple host systems across its customer base in order to support the relaying of inventory data in real time. Customers of Star Track Express will be able to access shipment status and other inventory and account information via a secure Web portal, HighJump said. Star Track has recently been experiencing double-digit growth in its Australian operations. Its services include express road and air freight. Customers hail from such industries as electronics, household appliances, motorcycles and consumer healthcare. According to HighJump, Star Track set out to find a flexible, scalable system that would allow its warehousing operations to meet customer needs quickly. Ian Greentree, national logistics manager of Star Track, said the new system will allow the 3PL to provide seamless domestic supply-chain services, with real-time visibility from order picking all the way to to proof of delivery.
