TAG Company has developed a new website to provide retailers and manufacturers with expertise on source tagging, the practice of applying electronic security labels on products at the point of manufacture or distribution. The website will guide users through the entire planning and implementation process. In addition, TAG has opened Source Tagging Certification Centers in the U.S. and Hong Kong. Mark Krom, president and chief executive officer of TAG, called source tagging a key element in customers' loss-prevention programs. Annually, retailers lose more than $30bn in merchandise in the U.S. alone, the company said.
