RedPrairie Corp. has expanded its marketing presence in Latin America to include the countries of Argentina, Colombia and Brazil. In partnership with NetLogistiK, RedPrairie already works with a number of major companies in the region, including PepsiCo., Procter & Gamble and Unilever. Locally based customers include Accel Logistica, Grupo Dico and Palacio de Hierro. The two companies began working together in Mexico in 2003, subsequently expanding into the greater Latin American market. NetLogistiK is a provider of logistics consulting and supply-chain software execution services throughout the continent. In another company development, RedPrairie has been accepted as an affiliate member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay Transport Partnership. Launched in 2004, the program was set up to promote the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and improve the efficiency of ground freight transportation. It aims to save up to 150m barrels of fuel per year. RedPrairie claims the title of first supply-chain technology company to become a SmartWay affiliate.
