RedPrairie Corp. has enhanced its Enterprise Visibility software with updated sourcing and recall capabilities. The new features will be integrated into the vendor's 2009.1 Supply Chain Execution suite release. Updates will also allow for automatic re-sourcing of shorted orders, permitting the system to fulfill shipment from alternative locations in case the original source becomes unavailable. The updates include functionality to expand the number of details available to recall products. The tool will allow for component and finished-goods tracking through the use of serial numbers, as well as kit and component-level inventory sales. The updates also enable finished-goods tracking through radio frequency identification (RFID). The data can be easily accessed and organized using the application's updated visibility screen, RedPrairie said.
