Menlo Worldwide, the logistics services provider and subsidiary of Con-way Inc., has undertaken a major expansion of its operations based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The company has opened a new 6,500-square-meter facility at the AMB Douglassingel Distribution Center near Schiphol International Airport. The multi-client center has become Menlo's new European headquarters, ranking fourth in size among the company's eight European distribution and logistics centers. The new facility replaces a 3,000-square-meter operation located at nearby Koolovenlaan. Services provided at the new Menlo facility include bonded warehousing, inventory control, supply-chain flow management, receiving, storage, pick and pack, customer service, product staging, fulfillment, transportation management and emergency-response delivery. The center is located in the Schiphol-Rijk Industrial Park, part of the airport's distribution area. Menlo's European operations focus on customers in the high-tech, consumer electronics, automotive, consumer goods and industrial products industries.
