As of October 15, BAX Global was offering expanded overnight distribution capabilities between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada. It has added an air-cargo flight in Mexico, using the Queretaro airport. The flight will provide companies with earlier freight arrivals and later departure times than previously offered in the market, BAX claimed. The service targets customers in the industrial markets of Queretaro, San Luis Potosi, Celaya, Leon, Silao and the northern part of Mexico City. Manufacturers in the Bajio region will no longer have to truck their freight to or from Guadalajara or Mexico City airports, saving hours of transit time, the company said. BAX said it was able to expand its service due to the economies of scale it has realized with the merger of BAX and Schenker, both of which are part of DB Logistics, the transportation and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn AG.
