Version 7 of Trading Partner is now available from Emanio Inc., a vendor of enterprise application integration (EAI) and electronic data interchange (EDI) software. Featuring a completely redesigned user interface, Trading Partner 7 for Microsoft Windows offers support for more than 200 trading partners. It has also been made easier to use. A centralized preference pane allows new users to set up their entire EDI software in minutes, Emanio claimed. Because version 7 is 100-percent compatible with version 6.8, migration is seamless and instantaneous. A new tree-based view is designed to speed up the process of navigating to the right trading partner and EDI transaction. In addition, Emanio said, automation features are easier to use and implement. Emanio's long-term goal is to make its software products so easy to use that a small-business owner can implement EDI with little or no assistance, according to chief executive officer KG Charles-Harris.
