Cheetah Software System Inc., a vendor of transportation and logistics applications delivered via the cloud, has made available the next generation of Cheetah Mobile for the Android platform. The technology supports a wide variety of smartphones and tablets on all major U.S. carriers - Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile - including ruggedized models and those both with and without physical keyboards. Cheetah Mobile connects field workers with dispatch, customer service, management and customers in real time, via two-way messaging, dynamic ETA updates and proof-of-delivery verification, including barcode scanning, signature capture and photos. The system also provides voice navigation with turn-by-turn directions driven by live pickup and delivery information. An intuitive touchscreen interface, standardized across all Android devices, reduces the need for training. The Cheetah Mobile application has been pre-certified on a number of Android handsets and is available at no extra cost to Cheetah customers.
