Kore Telematics, a provider of digital wireless services for the machine-to-machine (M2M), telematics and telemetry markets, is offering new data services for the M2M sector. Kore will offer a series of wireless M2M data services to customers and partners on CDMA and GSM networks, via the company's integrated platform services. The move brings CDMA 1xRTT and EV-DO 3G services to the M2M market. According to Kore, it opens up more opportunities for application service providers (ASPs), and provides them with an alternative to services offered directly by network operators. Advanced applications, including advertising, billboard management and security, become easier and less expensive to deliver, the vendor claimed. In a related announcement, Kore has introduced a suite of wireless GSM voice services for the M2M market. Kore's digital data wireless network will feature voice services designed to enhance existing M2M applications. The packaged voice service offerings will make it easier for ASPs to embed and manage voice technology in their M2M applications, Kore said.
