Syspro has made available a new software application designed for mid-sized manufacturers. Syspro Projects and Contracts enables users to assign costs, monitor profits and make adjustments at various stages of project and contract planning. Methodologies include the assigning of multiple jobs to a contract; estimating cost and revenue levels for specific tasks and jobs; attaching purchase order, labor and materials projections; and applying payment deposits against contract planning and production milestones. Manufacturers can match appropriate resources to the most profitable areas within a job, as well as identify and adjust lagging profitability metrics, Syspro said. They can compare real-time, actual and committed costs with those tied to projected future activities. Users can also issue a wide variety of detailed reports for jobs and contracts that extend over specific or extended periods of time. Role-based analytics provide for customized information needs and secure information channels for making organizational changes.
