These are among the findings of Global Healthcare Exchange's GHX Market Intelligence "By the Numbers" quarterly research based on data from the top 20 U.S. healthcare distributors, representing 75 percent of all distributed healthcare sales in the United States. This represents more than $40bn invoice dollars and 100 million invoice lines of distributed sales for "med-surg" and "clin-lab" products and supplies annually. 

“GHX Market Intelligence data confirms that the healthcare market continues to grow,” said Paul Frank, manager, Product Management Business Intelligence, GHX. “What our most recent data shows is that healthcare providers continue to respond to rapidly changing market conditions and financial pressures, especially in regard to growth in Alternate Site markets within med-surg. In Q2, Alternate Site showed a solid year over year growth of 6 percent in med-surg and 7 percent in clin-lab segments.”
